NCC Early Swimmers

Learning to swim and water safety is considered a prerequisite for children living on the Sunshine Coast.

At NCC early swimmers, we know the importance of keeping children safe, being confident in and around water and assisting swimmers to take it to the next level.

 NCC Early Swimmers

about us

NCC’s early swimmers Centre provides a range of group learning and developmental classes catering for all ages and abilities, from six months to adults, in a pleasantly heated pool all year round. Classes are held daily by our qualified and experienced instructors in a relaxed and safe environment.

Integral to our class structure is the promotion of water awareness, confidence, independence, water safety, stroke development and fitness. Living on the Sunshine Coast, our children are surrounded by a variety of water activities, and to ensure they grow up confident and capable, we recommend parents enrol them in classes from a young age. Classes are offered on a term basis, and students must reach a minimum competency to progress to the next level.

Brandon Lambert

Manager

Brandon is a former national age group swimmer who has spent a large portion of his life in around pools. His love for the aquatic industry has seen him travel with his swimming and compete and medal at state level, as well as successfully competing at national level. After he hung up his goggles, Brandon started working in the Aquatic industry as a pool maintenance worker for two years which he loved! Eventually he started working as a pool supervisor/manager, which allowed him to gain an insight into the back end of pool operations. Brandon is currently studying a double degree of International Business and Law. He loves working at the pool and has played a big part in implementing the policies and procedures manual for NCC early swimmers.

Belinda Lambert

Instructor

Belinda is a mother of three boys and her children have been involved in swimming from the age of six months old through to ‘National Level Competition’. This has allowed Belinda to gain an insight into the development of essential water safety skills, and the need for children to learn to swim from a young age all the way through to an understanding of how elite level swimmers train and compete. Since gaining her learn to swim qualification, Belinda has been involved closely with the teaching of NCC early swimmers babies and toddlers program as well as the general learn to swim program. Belinda gets great satisfaction teaching and watching children learn and achieve new swimming skills.

Margaret Murphy

Instructor

Margaret is a mum to two children, a boy and a girl and has been a swim teacher for over five years.  Margaret is a well-qualified swim instructor, with multiple qualifications acquired in the aquatic industry, allowing her to teach a diverse range of children and swimming abilities.  Margaret enjoys working with children and helping them to achieve swimming competency in the learn to swim classes whilst having fun and being safe in the water.

Jake van der Vliet

Instructor

Jake is a former NCC student who graduated in 2016. Jake is a five time school sportsman of the year and a six time senior school swimming age champion.

Jake is dedicated to helping young swimmers reach their full potential and is also aiming to improve his own coaching skills and knowledge along the way.

Swimming Lessons Saves Lives

As we slowly begin to approach the warmer months, we encourage parents to think about getting your children in the water regularly. Not only will this give them the confidence to have some fun in the water over the summer months, but it will also help them build the fundamental skills needed to be safe around the water. The newly … ...

My boys love swimming at NCC early swimmers, the staff are friendly, professional and they really care for each child. The teachers focus on each child’s swimming needs and I have seen improvements in their swimming ability in such a short time. I especially feel reassured that at home in the pool and at the beach that my younger boys have learnt confidence and are more understanding of water safety, while my older boy is being extended in his swimming ability.
